Inspired by my imagination I wanted to capture a normal day at the beach. I had so much fun painting this as there are lots of smaller stories inside one big story. Each umbrella, cabana, towel, surf board and bucket and spade lead to a variety of people each on their own adventure, whether it be soaking up the sun, a social gathering, family time or spending time dancing amongst the waves.

The third in my aerial series I wanted to create a Where’s Wally sort of artwork where every time you looked at the painting something new is discovered. Look carefully to see if you can spot the family heading across the sand with their trolley filled with towels, food and bucket and spades as they search for the ideal place to set up for the day. Can you see the father spinning his child amongst the waves? Can you see the children playing with their bucket and spades? I hope you have as much fun discovering each story as I did creating them.
